Event Details

In collaboration with the Maine PCA, the School-Based Health Alliance is offering a training for health centers addressing partnering with schools to deliver high quality care for Maine’s children and adolescents.

School-based health care is a powerful investment in the health and academic potential of children and adolescents. This model delivers convenient, accessible, and wide-ranging primary and mental health care services to students where they already spend most of their time: in school.

At the heart of the model is the partnership between the schools and health centers that give or support the services offered to the students.

Participants in this training will:

  • Learn about the value of school and health center collaboration and the benefits for both parties

  • Learn how to connect with education professionals around mutual goals and design messages that resonate with the education sector

  • Break into small groups to develop an action plan for your health center to further your partnerships with schools, based on your current school--health center collaboration status

Who should attend? Health center staff from health centers that:

  • Operate school-based health center(s) and want to increase collaborations within the school(s)

  • Currently partner with schools, and want to improve and increase these partnerships

  • Do not currently partner with schools, and want to initiate this strategy

Target Audience: CEO and Administrators, COO and CFO Affinity Groups
