Event description
Healing Together Conference April 5th, 6th, and 7th 2022

About this event

Native Dad’s Network is proud to be working in concert with the Native Wellness Institute, White Bison, and the Native American Fatherhood and Families Association to share high-level Indigenous programming with Tribal communities around the world. We invite you to attend the first annual Healing Together Conference on April 5th, 6th, and 7th 2022-a conference unlike any another! Our combined professional experiences and skills, collaborative approach and use of Indigenous culture as prevention, intervention, and treatment to fill the void in education and services in wellness is a powerful and appropriate response to Indigenous communities’ needs worldwide.

Native Dads Network

The birth of NDN began as part of Mr. Mike Duncan’s journey, a Con-Cow/Wailaki/Wintun California native and NDN’s Executive Director. Prior to developing a vision of NDN in 2010, Mr. Duncan experienced many of the challenges faced by indigenous / native communities when confronted with lack of culturally and linguistically sensitive services (i.e., prolongation of stigmas, on-going isolation, discriminative and inappropriate healing modalities). Since 2010, NDN has expanded its wings as conferences and services have been organized and delivered to indigenous / native communities living in Northern California and nearby areas.

After program evaluation in 2017, NDN (Executive Director, Board of Directors, and Volunteers) have developed a strategic plan (i.e., a roadmap for accomplishing specified goals – including allocation of current resources, organizational growth, and approaches for continuing to reach our mission and vision).

While primarily focusing on the importance of fatherhood within the context of family constellations, our mission (i.e., overall purpose) is to actively preserve and/or restore physiological, psychological, sociological, and spiritual wellness of Ingenuous/Native communities dwelling in Northern California and nearby areas.

The Native Wellness Institute

Founded in 2000 by a knowledgeable and dedicated group of Native individuals, including tribal leaders, committed to making a positive difference in Indian country.

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving as the leading provider of Native-specific and wellness-related training and technical assistance to Native people, communities, tribes, and organizations throughout North America.

From bringing together the most highly-skilled Native trainers and consultants to share their knowledge and wisdom at large national conferences, to offering smaller regional workshops in Native communities that improve physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental well-being, the Native Wellness Institute (NWI) is bringing about positive changes like no other organization of its kind in Indian Country.

Our focus on the healing and health of Native America continues to bring about positive changes today... while clearing the path for a more rewarding and fulfilling tomorrow. click here

White Bison is a Native American

Operated 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to creating and sustaining a grassroots Wellbriety Movement – providing culturally-based healing to the next seven generations of Indigenous People.

THE WELLBRIETY MOVEMENT

To be sober and well. That’s what White Bison wants for our community, that’s why we’re a proud facilitator of the Wellbriety Movement. We must find sobriety and recover from the harmful effects of drugs and alcohol.

TO GO BEYOND

The “Well” in Wellbriety is the inspiration to go on beyond sobriety and recovery, committing to a life of wellness and healing everyday. Many use White Bison’s healing resource products, attend its learning circles, & volunteer their services to help themselves and others achieve wellness.

A RESOURCE TO THE COMMUNITY

White Bison offers sobriety, recovery, addictions prevention, and wellness/Wellbriety learning resources to the Native American/Alaska Native community nationwide. Our resources are also available to non-Native people. click here
