In honor of Filipino-American History Month, Healing through Writing and Kundiman are proud to present Healing through Writing: Immigration and the Transnational Family. This workshop asks: what trauma do we carry that has transited both time and space, and how does it inform Asian-American storytelling and identity? Join us for an afternoon of writing, reflection, and meditation as we unpack the violence of separation in Asian-American families to discover community.

Healing through Writing is a series of generative writing workshops that aims to make space for diasporic dialogue through art. The program seeks to cultivate a healing space where community members can connect by providing a platform through which they can exchange and collectively examine personal histories of trauma.
