Event description

Description

We're honoring breast cancer warriors everywhere this October, by creating this intimate, 'Healing through Food' series.
Come meet Yonina Blech-Hermoni, a nutritionist, specializing in healthy cooking. Join us to explore the amazing medicinal properties of herbs and spices that can provide all of us with an alternative way of healing. Each session will provide a deeper understanding of the foods we eat as well as a cooking demo introducing some of the foods we will be talking about.

On behalf of breast cancer warriors everywhere, we will be donating $1 per ticket to The National Foundation for Cancer Research! If you'd like to make an additional donation to The National Foundation for Cancer Research, please see donation option below to make a payment and we will make sure to pass it along!

10/3 Healing through Herbs 6-8 PM

(Vegan) We'll take a closer look at the medicinal qualities of Parsley, Sage, Rosemary & Thyme. We will also learn how to make a delicious Rosemary & Olive tapenade served with a Lebanese Tabbouleh while sipping on some soothing herbal handcrafted tea.

10/9 Detox with Cilantro 10 AM-12 PM

(Vegan or Dairy option) Treat yourself to a detox session! Join us to explore the magical world of Cilantro, one of nature's natural detoxifiers. We'll be learning about the different qualities of this amazing herb while using it (and sampling) a delicious Cilantro Lime Pesto Zoodles dish.

10/19 Spice it up! 6-8 PM

(Vegan) The world of spices is composed of an endless range of colors, smells and flavors! For this session, we want to concentrate on a top selection of anti-inflammatory spices that have been proven to help our bodies fight cancer cells and other diseases. We'll be learning how to make a high protein, Turmeric & Hemp Hummus lettuce wrap and sip on a home made lemon-ginger herbal tea.

10/23 Happy gut, Happy me!

(Vegan or meat option)

4-6 PM - A vegan option - Nutrient dense broth & a steamed bok-choy with sprinkled faux Parmesan.
6-8 PM - Contains meat - Beef bone broth as a great source of collagen!

I don't have a stomach ache, so what does my gut have to do with it? Did you know that our gut is considered to be our second brain! -) Whether it's allergies to different foods or boosting our immune system, we begin battling disease with our gut! Join us and put our "brains" together to learn how to make a nutrient-dense, immune system boosting broth from scratch! The gift that keeps on giving!

10/30 Comfort food 6-8 PM

What foods do you usually turn to for comfort and why? As the seasons change, so do our cravings. Our bodies go into hibernation mode which, for many of us, may result in being more prone to disease. How can we enjoy comfort and nourishment simultaneously? Join us for an exploration of comfort foods that will fill you with well being.
We'll be learning how to make a comforting golden milk rice stuffed squash as well as ghee made from scratch!

Sharing is caring and health is the gift that keeps on giving. Bring a friend and join us! Looking forward to seeing you there!
