Event description

Description

Having served in nearly every capacity in the U.S. Congress, David Jolly has had a front-row seat to the changing politics of the past 25 years. David will bring to life the structural challenges that impede bipartisanship in Washington. He will discuss gerrymandering, closed primaries, and campaign finance reform.

Jolly will offer solutions where progressives, moderates, and conservatives can see a political future working together, and where leaders of bipartisanship are rewarded at the ballot box. David will present the foundation of how Republicans and Democrats, or perhaps a new party, could advance consensus and bipartisanship in November 2018 and beyond.

Presented by The Nancy R. Chandler Visiting Scholar Program at COCC Foundation and sponsored by Brooks Resources Corporation, Associated Students of COCC and the OSU-Cascades Student Fee Committee.
