Event description

Healing Our Trauma in an Insane World...

It is a universal experience, in these times, that we are facing large scale challenges and predicaments, including: the political, cultural, environmental, economic and, for some, the spiritual.

Experts in many fields have coalesced around the notion that the scale of these challenges are not of the same content and scale of even ten or twenty years ago. The prevailing view is that these challenges and predicaments are actually incidents of trauma to our collective and individual systems.

The daily delivery, through all forms of media, of lies, fake news, alternative facts, the steady destruction of the social contract and our shared Earth habitat, in what used to be a functioning democracy and ever increasing demonstrations of our separation from and cruelty toward one another... can easily be seen as incidents of trauma at every level.

In this online summit we will hear from journalists, teachers, authors, and innovators in human resilience and spiritual depth. What is being done now, to teach individuals, families, organizations, communities - to be resilient in the face of the daily onslaught? Which programs are not working? Which ones are working? Are there tools that people can pick up and use now? How can we help our selves and our loved ones to be more fully present and able to contact grace and even core joy in these predicament-laden times?

How can we learn basic level healing, facilitation and caring skills that we might bring to our own families, support groups, communities?
