Event description

Description

After a long and divisive election season and an outcome that has left many of us reeling, grieving, and wondering what's next, we invite you to join us for an evening workshop that is all about coming together and moving forward.

The workshop will consist of three parts:

  • Dealing with Stress: What stress does to your body, how to identify your personal holding patterns, and how to "complete the cycle".
  • Your Voice Matters: A practical exploration of your voice and physical presence as a tool for powerful communication. In response to this election cycle's extremely charged sexist rhetoric, we will explore how to shut down the haters, navigate difficult conversations, and reach the undecided.
  • What's Next: Creating consensus, getting involved, moving forward, and fighting the good fight.

The workshop will be facilitated by two extremely talented and inspiring coaches:

Casey Erin Clark and Julie Fogh are the co-founders of Vital Voice Training, a voice and speech coaching company founded to help clients communicate with savvy, charisma, and confidence. They both bring extensive backgrounds in speech coaching and professional acting.

Jerin Arifa is a professional feminist, an award-winning activist, a first-generation Bangladeshi and Muslim American, and happily married woman to an atheist, Alaskan man.

Please do make sure to bring along a valid I.D., you will be required to show it in the downstairs lobby in order to access our venue.
