Description

*PLEASE NOTE - THIS IS A THREE PART WORKSHOP WITH WORKSHOPS RUNNING ON THE FOLLOWING DATES:
Saturday, June 30 from 1:00-3:00
Saturday, July 21 from 3:30-5:30
Saturday, August 11 from 1:00-3:00

In this class participants are guided in using poetry and other art forms for self-discovery and delight. There will be ample time for reading, writing and sharing within an intimate group setting. Whether you are a poetry lover or novice, this series is for you if you're longing to discover something new about yourself or wanting to peel back a layer or two and find your creative, healing voice again. Writing with intention, using simple techniques of spontaneous free writing, focused, reflective and creative writing, we unlock our intuition and dive down to our deepest feelings. We gain fresh perspectives and new insights. Participants will experience creative rejuvenation and will recognize and celebrate their strengths. Participants discover an ability to meet their challenges and their journey of healing is undertaken with courage and hope.

Healing is a process and participants are encouraged in this process through writing. By sharing stories and listening to each other with empathetic, focused attention, participants validate their experiences. Realizing that they are not alone. Writing is a way to accentuate the innate ability to heal. Through self-reflective writing and sharing their stories, participants experience commonality, connection, meaning, and wholeness. Transformation comes from understanding both the positive and the negative aspects of their experience as they delve deeper into its significance and find hope, grace and renewal.

For this workshop, please bring a blanket to sit on, something to write on, something to write with, a copy of your favorite poem, and an open mind. MoonLit will be in touch with you on the morning of the workshop with instructions on where to meet.
