LIZ CLUDERAY - TUESDAY 17TH JUNE, 7- 8:30PM
Join us on Monday 17th June at 7pm for an inspiring talk by Liz Cluderay from Artizan International, a Harrogate-based charity transforming the lives of disabled people both in the UK and overseas. Since 2013, Artizan has empowered individuals through workplace skills training, therapeutic arts & crafts, and community-led projects, creating safe, inclusive spaces for learning, growth, and connection.
In this talk, Liz will explore the importance of equity for people with disabilities, and how true inclusion means more than just access — it means opportunity, dignity, and recognition. She’ll share how Artizan works to reduce isolation, challenge stigma, and create meaningful opportunities through social enterprise, creative learning, and compassionate support.
In Harrogate and across Ecuador and Peru, Artizan is building a network of training centres, workshops, and vibrant cafés that offer real employment and change perceptions. From after-school clubs to international projects, this is a story of how creativity, equity, and community can shape a fairer world for all.
