Description

Level up your Headstands! This workshop is for students with a middle of the room, headstand practice, wanting to further challenge their balance.

Reignite your childlike ability to play, and likely fall, in this workshop. Step out of the straight up headstand box, and further explore your inversion practice, challenge your body awareness, and play your edge!

I plan to put forth some fun shapes, arm variations and transitions. For example, did you know their are four main headstand hand placements?! Then a funky assymetrical one... So five! I will also shine light on the path to forearm balancing.

This will run primarily as a workshop, but a playful one. We will do targetted yoga sequences to warm up, then get upside down!

*Students should be able to hold a stable headstand in the middle of the room, and be free from neck and shoulder injuries.

About Lanessa. I really enjoy teaching headstands because for me, they were the window into finding my strengths as a person and finally learning to believe in myself. Nothing about relenquishing control and inverting was ever easy for me, which is why I believe I have gained valuable insights and tips for helping others with this action.
