Event Details

HCC and Ten Thousand Villages invite you to the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage for a guided tour of this groundbreaking exhibit.

From maltzmuseum.org: Arresting black-and-white photographs from the Center for Documentary Expression and Art offer a stirring look at turmoil and triumphs during a critical moment in the country’s history. This Light of Ours exposes the struggle against race-based disenfranchisement through the works of nine photographers who were part of the Southern Freedom Movement and documented the experiences of people who stood up to change America.

Meet at the HCC office (2222 N Taylor Rd, Cleveland, OH 44112) at 1 p.m. and carpool to the Maltz, or join us at the museum at 1:45 p.m.

*** Discount tickets ( $10 per person) are available for this 1-hour, guided tour of the exhibit. Following our tour, stay and explore the rest of the Maltz on your own or return to HCC for an informal discussion and refreshments.
