Event description

Description

Harvard Center for Biological Imaging biweekly Lunch and Learn Lecture series (you must reserve a ticket for each week)

June 12th What is an image - explore image analysis methods: from the basics of image data to cutting edge machine learning tools. (Christian Hellriegel)

June 26th Can you paint with all the colors? - multi color imaging, from the selection of appropriate fluorophores to methods of spectral unmixing. (Erin Diel)

July 10th Let your light shine down - methods of illuminating your sample, from classic transmitted light techniques to novel approaches in patterned excitation. (Erin Diel)

July 24th Computational imaging: algorithm driven microscopy - how to design and build microscopes and image reconstruction algorithms that acquire compressed versions of images, making them much faster than conventional imagine. (Dushan Wadduwage)

August 7th ELYRA7 a new super-resolution platform - the ELYRA7, a versatile super-resolution platform (live-cell, lattice-SIM, PALM, STORM) (Christian Hellriegel)

August 21st Image analysis pipelines with KNIME and Ilastik - demonstrate building image analysis pipelines with KNIME, using interactive image segmentation with Ilastik as an example. KNIME integrates all steps of image analysis into a manageable, nodebased workflow and is compatible with ImageJ, MATLAB, etc. (Andrew Seeber)
