Grant Street has a storied past. If you’ve read “Meet You in Hell: Andrew Carnegie, Henry Clay Frick, and the Bitter Before we disperse for summer 2017, we need to conduct just a touch of business. So, we are inviting all our HBSAP members to a reception where we will briefly conduct elections of officers and governors for 2017-18, followed by remarks from Dr. Christopher Howard, who became the eighth president of Robert Morris University in February 2016. Chris is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, a Rhodes scholar, and an HBS alum. A retired Air Force reserve lieutenant colonel, Chris served as a helicopter pilot then became an intelligence officer for the elite Joint Special Operations Command. He was called back to active duty during 2003 in Afghanistan and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service. Prior to his appointment as president of RMU, Chris was the president of Hampden-Sydney College near Richmond, Virginia for six years. He has been featured in The New York Times, The Boston Globe, and The Washington Post and has been interviewed on CNN, PBS, and PRI's "The Tavis Smiley Show."
