About this event

The vision of the Hawaii Tech Bridge is to establish an innovation ecosystem in Hawaii where the Department of Defense, private industry, academia, state and local governments can collaborate to solve Navy and Marine Corps needs, while being mutually beneficial to all. Hawaii is an ideal location for a Tech Bridge due to its proximity to the Indo-Pacific region and its major military commands, along with a flourishing local technology sector and world-class academic institutions.

NSIN, the National Security Innovation Network, is an unrivaled problem-solving network that adapts to the emerging needs of those who serve in the defense of our national security. We are dedicated to the work of bringing together defense, academic and entrepreneurial innovators to solve national security problems in new ways.

University of Hawaii Office of Innovation and Commercialization:

The OIC is tasked with managing the research and innovation developed at all 10 campuses within the University of Hawai‘i System, protecting University of Hawai‘i intellectual property and technology assets and sharing those assets with a broader community to address the challenges and opportunities faced by Hawai‘i and the world. The Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) and UH Ventures are housed within OIC.

Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism:

DBEDT is Hawaii’s resource center for economic and statistical data, business development opportunities, energy and conservation information, and foreign trade advantages.

Innovate Hawaii:

Innovate Hawaii, a program of HTDC, is the state’s NIST Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) National Network Center, which supports small and medium-sized manufacturers to enhance their productivity, growth, and technical performance through programs and services across the islands.
