About this Event

A look at this workshop:

This FREE workshop is open to Hawaii Educators.

Perhaps more than any other environmental issue, the topic of climate change challenges science teachers to accurately convey data, reveal assumptions, and engage critical-thinking skills.

Designed for students in grades 6-8, Carbon & Climate provides activities and resources to help educators meet these challenges, introducing students to some of the complex issues involved in climate change.

Review this Overview to learn more about what students will do, the setting, and time required to complete each individual activity.  Experience interactive, engaging, and relevant learning activities including videos of PLT activities in action and opportunities for planning these activities. This online workshop requires approximately 5 hours of your time:

30 minutes of pre-work

1.5 hours Zoom

3 hours self-paced coursels – or morsels of a course.

Hawaii educators who complete the hike through the website and Hawaii PLT Intro will receive a free link to the curriculum and e-unit training. Value $40.00

--Independent evaluators determined PLT increases students’ knowledge, reasoning, and academic skills. Join the 750,000 educators across the country who use PLT’s award-winning materials with their students.
