Our rides are pressure-free and worry-free. We make sure every rider is comfortable with the pace of the group and that no section of trail is beyond their ability level.

Our monthly Joy Rides are designed to suit all skill levels. The focus of our Joy Rides is simple: discover new places and make new connections while having fun on two wheels!

Riding Levels

New Rider: I'm new to mtb and I want to give it a shot! If you've never been on a mountain bike before or have very limited riding experience, this group is for you. - This group will work on body position, braking and shifting on gravel and greenway before riding some of the beginner friendly trails (~5+ miles).

Beginner: I'm fairly new to mtb (still a true beginner), I kinda like it and want to ride more! - This group will spend a lot of time on the beginner friendly trails (5+ miles). Expect to stop and work on technical sections and be out at least 2 hours.

Beginner Plus: I'm new to mtb but have ridden as a solid beginner for a year or more. I really like it and I want to ride more! - This group will spend a lot of time on beginner and beginner plus friendly trails while sessioning some technical sections with experienced ride leaders and sweeps (12+ miles). Expect to be out at least 2 hours.

Intermediate: I'm comfortable on smooth (not technical) green & blue trails. But, I want to improve my technical abilities on more challenging terrain. - This group will spend a lot of time on more technical terrain and doing progression sessions w/ experienced ride leaders and sweeps (~10-15 miles). Expect to be out 2-3 hours.

Intermediate Pro: I can ride my bike with no handlebars - This group will ride blue and black trails with more technical features/terrain to accomodate more advanced riders (15+ miles). Expect to be out 2-3 hours.

Super Advanced: I'm comfortable on most terrain (technical sections of rocks, roots, and some drops) but I want to challenge myself and ride longer with more committing features. - This group may ride the most challenging black and blue terrains to accomodate super advanced technical riders (20-25 miles).

Volunteer: I'm a confident rider. I know the trails well and I am comfortable managing a group and stopping to help ladies progress with sessions of technical features/terrain. I'd love to help out as a ride leader or sweep!

Attend at least 5 Joy Rides in 2017 and win NOX Composites mountain bike rims!
