Event description

Description

Why is delivering hard feedback so difficult? Usually it’s concern over how the other person will receive it. What if they become angry, defensive or start to cry? What if giving the feedback hurts the relationship or makes it awkward to work together? What if the act of having a difficult conversation just makes the manager uncomfortable? With any of these worries, it’s easy to feel anxious. Even so, delivering feedback is a critical management skill that, when done effectively, drives change for the betterment of the individual, team and organisation.

This session provides participants with a proven framework for having difficult conversations. Participants learn through role-playing real life situations with coaching and discussion. We will focus on:

Dialogue skills to navigate the conversation

Meaningful next steps that hold everyone accountable
