Event description

Description

Port Townsend has a haunted past that is felt even today. Join us for November 1 & 2—when the veil is thinnest.

The Victorian Seaport of Port Townsend, WA was founded in 1851. Our colorful town has many tales to tell—of shipwrecks, shanghaiing, lost loves, unexplained events and a haunted past. Be open to the possibilities. Come for a weekend of ghostly fun along the historic waterfront.

• Guided Haunted Walks Downtown with actors from Key City Public Theatre

• Paranormal Investigations at three historic buildings each night

• Olympic Peninsula's only Escape Room–“Key City Jail Break: Escape from the Museum” at the historic 1892 City Jail in the Museum of Art & History

• An Evening with Ankhasha - psychic readings with your personal hierlooms

• Flashlight Tours of the 1868 Rothschild House

• DIY Paranormal Classes, inlcuding building your own ghost hunting equipment and analyzing your footage

• Historic Building Tour of the 1889 Hastings Building with the Hastings Family…and more!

Prepare to be intrigued, entertained, educated and yes, even frightened during your time spent immersed in the haunted atmosphere of our historic seaport.

Professional actors will take you on Haunted Walks, and paranormal investigators will introduce you to a world where not all is visible to the naked eye. Ankhasha Amenti will fascinate you with a psychic reading that tells the history of objects that you bring. The Escape Room "Key City Jail Break: Escape from the Museum" will challenge and captivate you—literally—until you can unscramble the puzzles and clues that will set you free. DIY paranormal classes, exclusive historic building tours, and even flashlight tours invite you to rub shoulders with the next world.

Be sure to join us at the Boo's & Spirits Mixer on Friday evening to meet up with kindred spirits. The Boo's & Spirits Mixer is free for ticket-holders, as is the Tell Your Ghost Tales story hour held Saturday evening. Ticket-holders will receive further details on the two free events after they register.

PLEASE NOTE: Haunted Histories & Mysteries is open to ticket-holders aged 16 years and older (ID required) with the exception of the free Friday evening Boo's & Spirits Mixer and the free Saturday evening Tell Your Ghost Tales story hour: for those two events, guests must be 21 & older to enter the bars. Please bring your own flashlights and wear sensible shoes! Dress for the weather. Bring your own paranormal hand-held gear if you have it, no experience is necessary to partake in the Paranormal Investigations or events.
