Hawaii Association of Teachers of Japanese (HATJ) will host a professional development event for the Japanese language educators of all levels. Don't miss out on this great learning & networking opportunity!
The goal of this Spring Workshop is to allow all levels of Japanese language educators to learn about IPA (Integrated Perfermance Assessment) and other pedagogy topics through active participation and hands-on activities, how IPA can be introduced to perspective classrooms. Participants will receive the Certificate of Participation at the end of the workshop issued by HATJ.
Workshop Structure
- Registration begins at 8:00am - 8:30am

Keynote speaker is Yo Azama Sensei (2012 ACTFL Teacher of the Year Award Recipient) from North Salinas High School, California.

After the lecture by Azama Sensei, there will be up to 1-hour Q&A session. Bring your questions and topics!
Participants & Cost
Pre-registration is required via Eventbrite.
Free for HATJ members (a proof of membership is required at the time of registration. Bring a copy of the receipt from American Association of Teachers of Japanese, not the copy of the check you sent in)
$20 for non-HATJ members
$10 for students. Free Wifi available on site.
