Event Details

The Hatfield and McCoy River Trail follows the Levisa Fork as it flows through the largest earth moving project in the U.S., the Pikeville Cut Through project.  This 8.2 mile trail was recently recognized as a Blue Water Trail by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife due to the ease of public access and outstanding fishery. While producing several species of game fish, including walleye, bluegill, croppie and largemouth bass the Hatfield and McCoy River Trail really shines as a great place to land great smallmouth.  Bronzebacks as large as 21" have been caught here.

The trail consists of family friendly class I water suitable for beginning paddlers.  A full rental fleet of canoes, kayaks and tubes is available for rent.  A free shuttle is also provided for those who have their own boat.  For more information contact:

Sean Cochran (606) 794-4231

***Rain checks will be issued in the event of inclement weather***
