Event description

Libraries are central to the health of our public lives. We know library programs that strengthen community and create the most impact always authentically address problems that matter deeply to a community. That’s why we’ve developed a series of free, library-focused webinars to help.

Join us for any of our webinars for library professionals just like you. You’ll have the opportunity to learn, discuss challenges, and find solutions with Harwood Certified Coaches, members of our Library Ambassadors Group, and even our staff.

This webinar—New Engagement Strategies for Diverse Communities—is a discussion designed to share how libraries can connect and engage with communities that are often excluded from community efforts. Learn new engagement strategies that can enhance the inclusivity and accessibility of your library, helping you gain relevance and increase your impact in your community.

Carlton Sears, trained Harwood Coach, will be leading the webinar about how to authentically engage your community. He’ll be joined by library professionals Kathy Middleton, Deputy Director of the Sacramento Public Library, and Yesenia Baltierra, Public Services Manager of the Placentia Public Library, who are using the Harwood practice of Turning Outward in their work.
