Join us virtually on Zoom for Harwich Conservation Trust's 33rd Annual Meeting where we will highlight this year's successes, honor Hinckleys Pond Association as HCT's 2021 Conservationist of the Year, recognize our outstanding volunteers, and listen to featured speaker Seth Doane, including his recent interview with Jane Goodall. Hear an update on the current land saving campaign for the 31-acre Hinkleys Pond-Herring River Headwaters Project.

Featured speaker, Seth Doane, was born on the Cape and raised in Harwich, graduating high school in 1996. After graduating from USC's Annenberg School for Communication, Seth began his career as a television correspondent. He became a news anchor with Channel One News, a national news network for high schools, through which he traveled to San Salvador, Indonesia, Afghanistan, and Sudan.

At age 22, he earned an Emmy Award nomination for a segment about school security and in 2004 won a Peabody Award for his series on the Sudan. From 2006-07, Seth worked with CNN covering South Asia while based out of New Delhi. In 2007, CBS News hired Seth to cover national issues. From 2013-16, Seth was based in Beijing, China covering events in Asia. Since 2016, he has been covering Africa, Europe and the Middle East while based in Rome. Recently, Seth was nominated for an Emmy for a story about the “global seed vault” on Spitsbergen island, part of a remote Arctic Norwegian chain of islands known as Svalbard.
