About this event
Fall is finally upon us. It’s the time when everything planted in the summer has reached its time to be enjoyed. I don’t know about you but this summer and the past spring was G-O time. One big swirl of activity brought me to today. Each turn of the season is a reminder to get somewhere and sat all the way down.
That’s what harvest time is 'bout.
Harvest…It’s ‘bout time… to rest in our own words
to get them into the world, on the page, on life's stage
for future generations to enjoy.
because we spent all this time working on the work
Now let's reap the benefits of sharing the work.
In honor of the season, I’m offering a healing writing circle for Black scholars working on a book-length project, thesis or dissertation. This writing space is especially for you if you've kept your genius trapped in your computer or the brain that is our computer too long.
Why Write With Write Avenue
As founder of this writing space especially for Black scholars, I’m a writer at the intersection of art + academy. With a doctorate in Educational Leadership, MFA in Creative Writing and MA in Technical Writing, I call upon my interdisciplinary-multi-hyphenate magic to facilitate healing writing spaces for academic creatives.
If you’re working on a thesis, dissertation or book and are looking for accountability, support, and guided writing space, tap in. Using the process I share in each group, I’ve been able to publish two books of poetry and have been published in multiple anthologies.
Tickets for this event are intentionally limited so that you have time to share your work, receive coaching from me, and hear feedback from the other beautiful souls in the virtual room.
I will personally email Zoom access info once you register.
I am so excited to hold space for your genius. Hope to see you at the Harvest!
