About this event
We are passionate about sharing our love for movement and plant medicine to all those resonant and interested. If a different pricing structure, sliding scale, or payment plan would allow you to attend, email us to start a conversation about what might work for all of us.
We have a fun and meaningful day designed for you to honor the capacity and magic of your body, and how you are integrally intertwined with the land, the plants, and your own human community.
This day honors the experience of being in a body, and how we use our bodies to connect with the living world around us, through the senses, breath, movement, and living prayer. Our movement journey will encompass a full body somatic warm up, improvisation exporations with the plants and land, and an expansive, healing dance party.
During this ceremonial, day-long immersion you will weave through connective time with not only your body, but the plants, the land, and community as well. You will be introduced to the concept of plant spirit medicine, as well as meet and work with goldenrod, a plant medicine that’s bursting with wisdom for this time of year.
We will harvest goldenrod, make a communal plant medicine, share a feast, and celebrate all that’s passed, and all that will be, with dance and movement. We will have ample time to connect with one another and develop connections and build community.
We are holding this ceremonial day on Lughnasadh (Loo-na-sa), the Celtic seasonal celebration marking the half-way point of the summer, falling directly between the Summer Solstice and the Fall Equinox.
This time traditionally denoted the beginning of fall and honored the first harvest of the summer's labor and growing season. It honors the abundance of all the land has provided, and invites pause to celebrate and honor all we've let ripen for us over the past year.
It is a season full of abundance, gratitude, communion, indulgence, and generosity.
In the wingspan of Lughnasadh, as we harvest the fruits of our year’s intentions and dedicated work, we luxuriate together, with the Earth, in gratitude for all that’s unfolded. We soak up the sun and bask in the gifts of our bodies and the land. And we dance and move our prayers for collective healing, renewal, and blessing for the year to come.
This day honors abundance, the unique expression of our body, our ability to commune with the spiritual forces of the plants, and truly celebrates our place together, in community with our fellow humans and the ecosystem of the land itself.
You'll leave with a portion of a communally made herbal medicine from freshly harvested goldenrod, and a feeling of utter nourishment from being in the wild meadows alongside community for the day.

“Amy’s class helped me wake up to the power of every plant. I always thought the powerful plants were the psychedelics, but I now know better now. There are so many medicine plants that are opening to us in the plant realm, and it's now up to me to be open to listening.”
