Event description

Description

On Wednesday, November 8, the Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation will be hosting a day-long convening of scholars and practitioners on the issue of Gerrymandering, Redistricting, and American Democracy.

The upcoming 2020 Census and the subsequent redistricting are critical to the functioning of our democratic processes, and require serious thinking and advocacy from those of us concerned with the future of our democracy. The conference will include panel sessions on Race and Redistricting, the crisis of the Census, and redistricting through a partisan lens, among others.

The day long program will close with a public talk at the American Academy of Arts and Sciences from 5 - 7:30 pm. More details to follow.
