About this event
“Once you register for the event, click “view online event”. This will contain a link to the zoom event. Also, we will be sending out an email the day of the show with the link in case you run into any technical difficulties. Can’t wait to see you there!!”
The Freedom Fundraiser Collective is a network of artists and activists that empowers creative voices to mobilize, organize, and fundraise for grassroots organizations working towards Black queer and trans liberation and all intersecting political projects. We serve as a space for young working artists, with an emphasis on Black artists, Indigenous artists, and artists of color, to highlight their work through virtual showcases in dedication to the Black Lives Matter Movement.
Featuring presentations and artistic performances from Harvard Alumni, all are welcome to come to this educational and uplifting event! This show aims to create community during a time when community is desperately needed.
We are more than our institution, and intend to mobilize the strength of the alumni community to engender real change.
We plan to introduce educational resources, as well as more ways to learn and get involved during the show to encourage a continued commitment to organizing around important issues through community.
We'll be donating to:
Black Trans Advocacy Coalition’s COVID-19 Community Response Fund,
National Black Justice Coalition,
Equal Justice Initiative,
and Dream Defenders.
In our previous Harvard fundraisers, we had an average donation of $41, and we were able to raise over $35,000. Because of this, we are asking that if you are able, to match this amount and give $41 in support of this event. However, EVERY DOLLAR COUNTS, so please do not hesitate to give what you can, and share the link if you can't.
We are doing a small ~regional~ competition, so as you give your donation, select your regional "team" to accredit your donation appropriately. May the best region win!
