Description

​Listen to the first book of Harry Potter... Play games and reenact scenes from the story... Exercise the imagination with a balance of quiet time and play time.


​This reading camp is to designed to inspire your child's summer reading. Students will predominantly listen to Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone together, with some time for independent and/or partner reading. Students will receive small group and individual reading instruction as needed to develop reading skills. The goal is to that your child will walk away excited and ready to read the entire Harry Potter series, setting them up for a summer full of reading.


​Your child will:
* Build confidence in reading
* Experience the joy and excitement of a good book
* Listen to the story read aloud
* Read independently and with a partner
* Receive small group reading instruction
* Learn and practice multiple comprehension strategies
* Develop reading skills that transfer to all content areas
* Be creative and imaginative
​* Spend time in active play and games each day
* Leave hooked into a book series, set up for a summer of reading ​


Monday-Friday, June 17-21, 10am-3pm

Ages 9-12

Fee: $275

Cancellation and Refund Policy: 100% refund up to 45 days before the event. 50% refund 30 - 44 days before the event. 30 days and thereafter, no refunds.
