Local food scholar and food writer, Harry Kashdan and Antonio Tahhan, respectively, will be at Bards Alley Bookshop on May 31st to discuss RESILIENT KITCHENS: American Immigrant Cooking in a Time of Crisis, which features a collection of essays about the lives of immigrants in the U.S. during and after the COVID-19 pandemic, told through the lens of food.

Each essay is accompanied by a unique recipe contributed by the essayist. Harry and Antonio will each bring a dish for attendees to help themselves to as they discuss the book and answer any questions you may have! Attendance is free, we just ask that you RSVP.

About the organizer

Bards Alley is a woman-owned independent bookstore and wine bar that promotes literacy, supports local authors, engages the community, and encourages localism. Bards Alley also donates to schools and nonprofits and partners with businesses for locally sourced light fare, strengthening the local economy.
