- 175 g deglet dates, pitted, roughly chopped
- 75 g candied ginger, roughly chopped
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cup dark brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 2 eggs, large, room temp
- 1/3 cup whipping cream
- ¼ cup molasses
- 1 cup boiling water
- 2 Tbsp canola/neutral oil
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp ginger, ground
- ¼ tsp allspice, ground
- 1/8 tsp cinnamon, ground
