• 175 g deglet dates, pitted, roughly chopped
• 75 g candied ginger, roughly chopped
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 1 ¼ cup all-purpose flour
• 1 ½ cup dark brown sugar, packed
• 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
• 2 eggs, large, room temp
• 1/3 cup whipping cream
• ¼ cup molasses
• 1 cup boiling water
• 2 Tbsp canola/neutral oil
• 2 tsp vanilla
• 2 tsp sea salt
• 1 tsp ginger, ground
• ¼ tsp allspice, ground
• 1/8 tsp cinnamon, ground
