Join photographers Duane Bailey-Castro and Nathan Kensinger for a special photo walk on the Harlem River! For the past 15 years, Duane and Nathan have been documenting the changing landscape of the river, and on this walk they will share their photos and stories of its coastline, while also guiding participants to some of their favorite spots along the Bronx waterfront for taking photos.

This walk will begin at Roberto Clemente State Park, and travel underneath several historic bridges, ending at the restored High Bridge. Participants can opt to bring a camera, use their phones, or try their hand at a polaroid camera provided by the walk leaders. Duane and Nathan will provide guidance and ideas for framing up a unique photo. All ages are welcome.

Duane Bailey-Castro is a lifelong Bronx resident who has been photographing the bridges of the Harlem River for 15 years. His work has been exhibited by the NY Public Library, NYC Parks, and Bronx Documentary Center. Nathan Kensinger is a Brooklyn based artist who has been documenting the NYC waterfront for 20 years. His photos of the Harlem River have been exhibited at the Museum of the City of New York, and are currently on view at Hudson River Park, in the exhibit "Desire Lines and Daylighting."

Thank you to our sponsors at the NY NJ Harbor Estuary Program and the Hudson River Foundation!
