Sat, April 22, 2017, 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM EDT
April 22nd, 2017 ! Come along with us as we hop from location to location in Central Harlem visiting a variety of Earth Day Parties! Party starts at Frederick Douglass between 133rd and 134th!
Each Harlem based business is hosting an ethical, fair trade, conscious business to help educate the community on the importance of taking care of our planet.
Join Faye of Sustaining Life between 11am-1pm for a natural dye workshop! She’ll be utilizing common food-waste items like avocado pits, coffee grounds and onion skins that anyone can access to turn them into gorgeous natural color on cloth at the Harlem Grown community garden- 118 W 134th Street.
The party does not stop at we cap off the day and take it into the night with a HARLEM EARTH DAY AFTER PARTY! Esa will be hosted by La Maison d'Art on 132nd st. as they teach us how to weave using second hand clothing! Party starts at 5pm. Snacks and more included. Get your tickets here.
