I have spoken to many of you about this, but I wanted to officially get the word out on a happy hour meet & greet with Omar Passons, County Board of Supervisor Candidate for District 4 on Tuesday, March 7th from 5:30 to 7:30pm.
Check out this brief profile on Omar the Union-Tribune did in 2014 – only shows a small piece of Omar’s life and work, so come by on March 7th and learn more.
Please RSVP through Eventbrite here.
What: Meet n Greet Happy Hour with Supervisor Candidate (2018) Omar Passons
Where: North Park Beer Co. (3038 University Avenue, San Diego, CA, 92104)
When: Tuesday, March 7th from 5:30 – 7:30.
Why: Because local government matters and San Diego beer is good.
For the last 3 years, I have gotten to know Omar through his work advocating for children, youth, working families, and other underrepresented San Diegans, as well as his passion for San Diego craft beer. His passion and commitment for underserved residents is a much needed voice that must be – and is not currently - represented at the San Diego County Board of Supervisors meetings.
As the Trump administration marches forward with its agenda that goes against so many of our personal values, it is critical that we organize and support local, state, and national candidates that will stand up, fight back, and represent the best part of what America stands for.
While the reality TV show that is Washington DC these days grabs all the headlines, County Board of Supervisors have tremendous responsibilities. From housing policy, social service investments, transportation and infrastructure, local climate action, and yes, dealing with professional sports teams, San Diego County Board of Supervisors oversee billions of dollars and hold tremendous influence in our community.
Come hear from Omar about his vision for San Diego County.
Also, help spread the word for those interested by forwarding this invite to fellow San Diegans.
