Open to participants and guests at AAR 2017 with RSVP. Re-unite and/or enjoy fellow theologians and artists at this late night happy hour, hosted by the creator of PIECES Vol. 1. Celebrate the fusion of theology, ethics and the entertainment industry over Drinks + Bites.

PIECES Vol. 1 is a collection of poetic pieces (performance poetry, theatre, film, audio and original score). Poems were written by Andrea Gacs and inspired from inclusive curriculum: The Hispanic Summer Program (professors: Dr. Teresa Delgado; Dr. Laura Perez); Africana Church studies program at Fuller Theological (FTS), School of Psychology (S.O.P. professor: Dr. Janice Strength); School of Theology (professors: Dr. Mareque Steele-Ireland; Dr. Love Sechrest; Dr. Roberta King, the late & beloved Dr. Glen Stasson), The Brehm Center (FTS; Fred Davidson, Nate Risdon, Lauralee Farrer, Joey Novak).

Andrea developed the collection into PIECES the Choreopoem which opened at FTS as a thesis project with seven cast members along with original music. PIECES had a two-week run at Hollywood's Hudson Theatre in Hollywood. In addition, it has served as a teaching tool for a graduate studies psychology curriculum and most recently, presented at an off-site venue during the Sundance Film Festival 2017 and was featured as a special presentation at Windrider's Forum in Park City, UT.

Themes include: Grief & Loss, Shame & Guilt, Romance & Sexuality, Racial Identity & Police Brutality, Theology and Community.

Andrea is currently building a producing team for a film series and VR experience. For information contact: andreagacs@icloud.com (408) 472-2069
