The Hankins / Johnson Education Foundation Golf Classic allows casual golfers and enthusiast alike to Swing, Slice, Chip and Putt with a Purpose.
The I.S. Hankins - F.A. Johnson Education Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization, in conjunction with the Delta Xi Lambda (DXL) Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., will host our 2nd Annual Hankins Johnson Education Foundation Golf Classic September 22, 2023. Registration and practice facilities available at 7:30 am. Shotgun, Scramble at 8:30 am. Lunch, awards, and prizes at 1:30 pm.
Proceeds will fund our scholarships, Young Men of Distinction (YMOD) mentoring, Head Start to Literacy Initiative, and other foundation programs and projects. We awarded $32,500 in scholarships this year. A member of our YMOD program was selected to attend the National Scout Jamboree in July. We delivered over one thousand (1,000) books and large quantities of supplies to four head start centers in Orange County last year. We are on pace to duplicate that support this year.

The I.S. Hankins-F.A. Johnson Education Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c) (3) charitable organization that was established in March 1993, by the Orlando Alumni Chapter (Delta Xi Lambda) of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. in honor our belated Brothers I. Sylvester Hankins and Felton. A. Johnson. The purpose of the Foundation is to promote, support, and instill in youth the values of high educational achievement, leadership and community service. The Foundation provides academic, personal, leadership and social development to young men in the Metro Orlando area through the Young Men of Distinction Male Mentoring Program (YMOD). The Foundation also provides funding for other educational and community service initiatives of the Delta Xi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
