Put your Viz Skills to the test for a good cause at the December Portland Tableau User Group meeting!
In the spirit of bringing people together for the holidays, Tableau has teamed up with the Tableau Foundation to run a User Group Viz Contest throughout the month of December. This is Portland's opportunity to show off our viz skills while generating awareness about the role mentorship can play in peoples' lives.
The Tableau Foundation will make a donation to one of six organizations focused on mentorship on behalf of the top three submissions. The data for this contest surrounds My Brothers Keeper, an initiative focused on making the American Dream available to all boys and men of color by eliminating gaps in their opportunities and outcomes.
Before we dive into small groups for our viz cook off, we will discuss Best Practices in Data visualization and will use that criteria to select our Top 3 Vizzies.
Please note that this meeting is at the Slalom office on the 25th floor (previous meetings have been on the 20th floor). Parking garage located in the Fox Tower and at the Smart Park on 10th and Yamhill.
