ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Dulze Vida Bakery is a small, home-based sourdough and sweets bakery inspired by a lifelong love of creativity, flavor, and old-world traditions. Maricela has evolved her baking into something deeper: a craft that blended art, science, and heart. Baking allowed her to experiment with new ingredients, decorating techniques, and flavor combinations, using both her chemistry and art background to take things to the next level.

During the COVID lockdown, Maricela found comfort in baking bread—a lot of bread. From sourdough to scones, ciabatta to croissants, she filled her home with the scent of fresh loaves and shared them with friends and family. Their encouragement sparked the next chapter: applying for a cottage food license and officially openening Dulze Vida Bakery.

The bakery was born in her family kitchen, where every loaf and sweet treat is made with care and purpose. She believes in the beauty of slow fermentation and the power of natural ingredients. Each loaf is handmade in small batches using organic flour, filtered water, sea salt, and wild-captured sourdough culture. Being an entrepreneur has given Maricela the space to express herself through baking and connect with others through real food and heartfelt work.

"At Dulze Vida Bakery, we’re more than a bakery—we’re a reflection of creativity, community, and the simple joy of sharing something made by hand."
