Is your New Year's Resolution hacking more? It should be :) HypaSec's hands-on, five-day crash course can help you achieve your 2018 goals. Placing you directly in the hot seat of a penetration tester. This training is intense, morning to night. Taught by an actual hacker, Chris Kubecka with over 20 years of experience who's presented at Black Hat USA, OpenFest Sofia, Chaos Computer Club, Cyber Senate, SANS, universities and industry conferences around the world. HypaSec's previous course at BSides Las Vegas 2017, OSINT Crash Course for Hackers taught attendees how to find exploitable vulnerabilities in the CIA, NSA, GCHQ and the Saudi MoFA.

As soon as you plug your laptop in, no messing about with networking. Fire up your virtual machines, a quick setup and over 100 hands on labs await you. Learn by doing, by hacking. Equipment to bring

Laptop with no less than 100 GB of free space, 4 GB RAM with a wired network connection, VM Ware Player, Workstation or Fusion newest versions.

Course Extras

Field kit containing a WIFI card for 2.4 and 5 GHz wireless testing, tools and virtual machines loaded on a USB drive for students to keep. Slides and course workbook printed and bound. Practice GPEN questions, cheat sheets, notebook and pens. Lunch with limited tea and coffee are included.

Cost

The price of ticket on Eventbrite does not include VAT. This course has been updated and tested from the Firebrand GPEN 2017 version. This means you get high quality course material in the process of being updated with the latest technology, tools and techniques.

Who is your instructor?

Chris Kubecka is the founder and CEO of HypaSec. Previously, establishing and leading the network and security operations, UK/EU GDPR Privacy Group, joint international intelligence team and Information Protection Group for Aramco Overseas covering EMEA (outside KSA) and South America, part of Saudi Aramco. Passionate about offensive, defensive and new methods of exploitation in IT, IoT, ICS and embedded systems. Chris’ deep technical knowledge stems from childhood misadventures and professionally in IT and ICS/SCADA security with Air Mobility Command and Space Command, serving honorably in the U. S. Air Force. An international career in public, private and government sectors. Frequently seen at conferences as chairperson, keynote, presenter and lecturer including OWASP, Black Hat, Chaos Computer Club, SANS, BSides, Last H.O.P.E, Industrial Control Cyber Security Nuclear and several universities.

Chris was featured in MIT’s Technology Review, A Closer Look at Cyber Survival, the most anticipated Black Hat 2015 talk and Vice News’ cyber warfare series Hacking the Infrastructure. Non-invasive ICS network security monitoring with deep packet inspection research was published in the American Journal of Petroleum Engineers. Author of several books, most recently Down the Rabbit Hole: An OSINT Journey in 2017. Creating the recent OSINT Crash Course, teaching how to find exploitable vulnerabilities in 3-4 letter intelligence agency IT systems in 2017 at BSides LV.

Kubecka, a military veteran of multiple humanitarian and combat missions as air crew with degrees in information technology and computer science. Based in northern Europe, is a member of the Cyber Senate, UK All Party Parliamentary Group in Artificial Intelligence, subject matter expert panelist and advisor for the European Council of Foreign Relations regarding post Brexit digital security and cyber warfare. An advisor and subject matter expert to several governments and industries on cyber security and incident response for cyber warfare, and recognized expertise in financial, oil and gas, water and nuclear industry digital security.
