Event description
Hands-on workshop using the IoT Greenhouse powered by Raspberry Pi.

About this Event

The Raspberry Pi is a low-cost basic computer, great for learning computer science and a handy option for hobbyists. It’s powerful enough to use as a replacement desktop PC but also works as a controller for systems such as home automation and security. Search the Web and you’re sure to find your next project!

Join this Hands-On session to learn the basics of the interfacing the Raspberry Pi. You learn what’s required to setup hardware and software. You investigate the capabilities of the Pi including input and output control circuits. You’ll write basic controller code to read a switch and control an LED. Why not control the Pi from your phone? Typical Web interfaces are demonstrated. Raspberry Pi systems are provided, so session size is limited. Please register in advance.

This event is hosted by 20Fathoms as part of the tccodes talent development initiative. It is intended for beginners or anyone interested in the Raspberry Pi. If you attended our introductory Pi workshop, then this is the next step! For questions contact keith@20fathoms.org or visit tccodes.org.
