About this event

Saturday October 15, 2022 - National March for Reparations to African People, 1PM, St. Louis Public Library, Carpenter Branch 3309 S. Grand Blvd. Followed by a rally at the Sons of Rest Pavilion, Tower Grove Park

Sunday October 16, 2022 - Day of Reparations to African People National Conference, featuring Chairman Omali Yeshitela, 9AM-3PM, Akwaaba Hall 4101 W. Florissant Ave.

The National March for Reparations to African People in St. Louis, Missouri, themed “Hands off Uhuru! Hands off Africa!”, calls on white people to take a profound stand of solidarity with the African Liberation Movement, in opposition to the COINTELPRO-style raids carried out by the FBI against the homes and offices of the African People’s Socialist Party including the home of its leader Chairman Omali Yeshitela in north St. Louis, Missouri on July 29th. (Here is a link to Chairman Yeshitela addressing the FBI attacks on Democracy Now!)

Coordinated by the Uhuru Solidarity Movement, the organization of white people working under the leadership of the African People’s Socialist Party, the National March for Reparations and Conference in St. Louis is the final stop on the National Days of Reparations Tour which is taking place in six cities across the U.S. including Oakland, CA; Portland, OR; Philadelphia, PA; St. Petersburg, FL and Minneapolis, MN.

As white people who sit on the pedestal of colonialism, it is our responsibility to:

  • Support the right of African people in the U.S. and around the world to advocate and organize for the liberation and unification of Africa and African people everywhere. Stop the FBI’s attacks on the African Liberation Movement! Not in our name!
  • Unite with the revolutionary demand for reparations to African people, the return of the stolen wealth, resources and labor into the hands of the African community.
  • Oppose U.S. colonial wars of occupation and police terror against African, Indigenous, Mexican, Arab, and oppressed peoples in the U.S. and around the world.
  • Unite with the call for white people to take a principled stand of solidarity with the African Liberation Movement, under the leadership of the African working class.
