Handling Hot Moments, Microaggressions, and Other Critical Incidents- 3/3
Event Information
About this Event
From the sound of crickets as everyone remains reluctant to unmute—to a comment by a student or educator that does harm, unintended or otherwise—many “hot moments” are opportunities for critical reflection by all involved. In this workshop, we will explore how to use a few questions that help detect problems before they get out of hand, justify why we use different teaching approaches, and avoid overestimating the extent of “resistance."
For Future Faculty Program participants, this session fulfills the "Diversity & Inclusive Teaching" requirement
This session is only open to Northeastern University educators. Please use your Northeastern email when registering.
