Description

In this class, you will learn more advanced stitches and techniques of hand embroidery. This class is intended for anyone who has taken Embroidery Basics or some experience with embroidery fundamentals. You will learn several advanced stitches: laced running stitch, fishbone stitch, whipped circle, satin stitch, bullion knot, double knot, and rope stitch. You will be given an alphabet embroidery sampler to start working on which will use all of the stitches taught. Embroidery is a fun and relaxing activity and we look forward to having you join our class.

About Your Instructor:

Heidi Rice learned to sew as a pre-teen in a local 4-H program. Heidi enjoys creating of all types: Home DIY projects, baking, quilting, garment making, knitting, crochet, cross stitch, and embroidery. She taught sewing and quilting classes for over four years at Sewn Studio. Her favorite part of teaching sewing classes is watching people realize the joy and relaxation that creating with your hands brings. She also loves showing people that the craft of sewing and quilting can be trendy and modern, that they can sew stylish garments or make quilts that are either traditional, or works of modern art. The possibilities are endless when creating with fabric and thread!
