Description

Bodyweight training is not about a fixed set of exercises or movements. It’s about anything you do to get stronger and move better, using only the weight of your own body. If you get creative, you can get really, really strong without any weights at all!

In this 3 hour workshop we will cover handstands as well as pushing, pulling and squatting movements.

Learning a handstand as an adult can be a hugely rewarding but also a slightly terrifying experience. We will focus on getting upside down (and back on your feet) safely, moving away from the wall with confidence and how to find your balance every time you kick up.

If you are new to this type of training I will teach you everything you need to get started. If you are a bodyweight ninja I will show you how you can build on the basics to achieve more advanced variations.

I grew up as a competitive gymnast but after an elbow injury at 19, I was told that I would never do handstands again. For years I listened to that advice, but in my 30s I learned to listen to my own body. I discovered ways to strengthen my arm, and fell in love with bodyweight training and movement again.

I started coaching when I was 19 and since then have always been drawn to it. Teaching someone to do something that they didn't think was possible is one of my favourite things.
