After hearing the hall booking process it is now clear that we should not have any more confusion, he said he is agreed with Monir Ahmed that, who ever took initiatives and leadership we welcome and congratulate for your leadership. Let's build a good brotherhood and keep in mind that we have some other obligation as well. It was a wake up call, you will be have response for the community and hope that the community will come together. He requested for Pithga / Utshab Mela.
Muhith Mahmood addressed by saying I am happy to be here and we are a big Bangladeshi community, we need to promote Hamtramck, I have 100% support, but we need to create unity, Boishakhi Mela at Kobo hall, very nice but in Hamtramck, we have an advantage, entertainment and Making sure we don't divert other and Be careful for the young generation making sure not to confuse them.
Raju Ahmed Talukder spoke for the unity and explained how we are here in states from far way. We are here, we are Bangladeshi community live in Hamtramck, we don't live in Downtown, we are Hamtramck, so the event should be in Hamtramck, We should have let the people know in advanced. About 60K around greater Detroit including Hamtramck. 17 People started in Association, now we are around 60 thousands, so there will be disparity. I welcome those who started, We are over 22K miles away from our homeland, we all understand, but we have to be united, we need to make it success. We must do such Mela and we must enjoy it. We are with you and I am with you.
Bokul Talukder said, In 2009 the community got divided for this festival. It was divided, Detroit Kobo Center v Hamtramck. It was successful for the both events, but it was inconsistent. We are Hamtramck, we become singular and individual, we are part of social organizations, it’s a festival, its an entertainment, if it is successful, then it will be okey, but if incase there is the both group doing Boishakhi Mela on same date then it would create a chaos. Making sure we do on two separate dates. Keep the consistency. Let’s even organize and distribute the leadership for future even for 2018, 2019, 2020 and beyond. Constituency is most critical element here and let us create a format to keep the 2 people in charge and make everyone as executive members.
Ruhul Alam said Love to hear all this. I just came with my friend and I will support you 100%.
Abdul Bashit replied when he was asked to represent Vodeshor, “I do not represent the Vadeshor Committee, but I am one of them.” I congratulate you and we must not create division among us. If the Kobo Boishakhi team come to us, then I say, we must accommodate them. I will support 100% to make this festival successful.
Shahin Chairman said in Michigan we are a very big Bangladeshi community, as leaders we must do what is right. Around 20 cities has Bangladeshis. Let’s focus on the upcoming event, focus on finance, may be $12K needed, so Let’s talk about the finance and funding.

The elected official of Hamtramck city councilmen assured that “They are with the community in this, and they pledged of full support to make this festival a successful one.”

I need all of you. 32 years experience in Hamtramck and as I recall, Khondaker Yousuf Kalam was the Chair of First mela, I was the secretary. Hamtramck is our Home, let’s make our home enjoyment and a happy place where we are rising our children. It’s hard for many Hamtramackian to go to Cobo center, let’s do it here at our home in Hamtramck.
