About this event
Join the Black Health Alliance: Pathways to Care Project for our Hamilton Region Networking Gathering Event on Thursday May 26th from 5:30 PM EST-7:30 PM EST.
This event is for you if: you are a Hamilton region based service provider, agency, or organization whose work supports the mental health and addictions needs of Black youth.
This forum will be an opportunity for you to share your work experiences, gather resources, and create relationships with folks across the Hamilton region! We will be using a variety of session types including: facilitated discussion, open conversation, resource sharing, interactive whiteboard, polls/surveys, and breakout rooms.
Event topics may include but are not limited to: challenges and opportunities you are experiencing in your workplace, possibilities for collaboration, and navigating anti-Black racism.
This free virtual event is facilitated by Deneece Plummer and Ameerah Craigg.
This is an open event. All are welcome. We will prioritize speaking time to those who are youth, LGBTQ2S+, and Black folks.
Note on inclusivity: Everyone has the right to feel as safe as possible at any event they choose to attend, regardless of age, ancestry, colour, gender identity, gender expression, mental disability, physical disability, place of origin, race, religious beliefs, or sexual orientation, or any other identities. Event spaces, and all spaces, should be nonthreatening and supportive to all attendees. We at Black Health Alliance: Pathways to Care Project are actively and consistently working to ensure that this practice is a reality among our events.
Note on accessibility: This workshop will be hosted on Zoom. Live transcription will be available.
