Tuesday, November 19, 2013 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM (EST)
Jersey City, NJ
Tucked away from the loud and busy downtown area, Hamilton Park is a quaint residential neighborhood with unique restaurants to boast. Come check out what you've probably been missing out on as we walk our way through 3 restaurants and a wine shoppe with dessert to go! If you're a foodie and appreciate gourmet, local food this is the perfect tour for you.
Here's what you can expect:
- Just in time for the season, participating restaurants will be creating a taste of their best fall dishes
- Stony Hill Farms and Poplar Wood Farm are donating produce to participating restaurants for use in preparing a wonderful tasting just for GSFT participants!
- A local expert guide who will lead the way from restaurant to restaurant, all within a short walking distance (less than 3 blocks between each location).
- Stops on the tour include:
- Select restaurants will also provide a wine or cocktail pairing sample
- Water bottle
Where do we meet? The first meeting spot is Hamilton Inn located at 708 Jersey Ave. Jersey City, NJ 07302. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to check in.
Do I need a paper ticket to check-in? Nope. Download the Eventbrite app on your smartphone and we'll scan you in. Once you've bought a ticket, be on the look out for an email with more info regarding how to check-in.
Where can we park? If you don't feel like competing with other JC locals looking for street parking after a long day at work, Hamilton Inn has a FREE parking lot located right off the highway (12th and Jersey Ave).
What if I have a dietary restriction? Please let us know at least 48 hours before the event if you have any dietary restrictions (vegetarian, diabetic, peanut allergy, etc). We will do our best to accomodate.
How much food can we expect? What's the quality of food like? Food tours are not created equally. The restaurants on this tour have prepared quality courses for participants. Each location will provide a different course, all being smaller versions of a menu item, with dessert to go. It's definitely enough to fill your dinner appetite. Come hungry, leave happy!
If the event sells out, is there a waiting list? Yes. People on the list will be emailed if a spot becomes available.
Cancellation Policy? 48 hours. If you can't make it, please let us know so we can give that ticket to another eager foodie!
Should I leave gratuity? Tips are never mandatory, but always welcome.
What if it rains? Tours are rain or shine! We don't spend too much time walking outside so in the case that it rains, bring an umbrella :)
What should I wear? Whatever you feel more comfortable in! Most restaurants have ample seating, with a combination of both standing and sitting room.
