Description

New York City's richly historic streets are the setting for Hamilton and Washington in New York: The Revolutionary Tour. This engaging walking tour traces the accomplishments of George Washington and Alexander Hamilton. The subject of Lin-Manuel Miranda's monster Broadway hit, Hamilton began life in the U.S. as a penniless immigrant and truly personifies the American dream. He and Washington were essential in shaping and guiding the destiny of the United States. You'll see the sites of the mob protest that followed the first New York reading of the Declaration of Independence, Washington's astounding nighttime river escape, the final resting places of Hamilton and his wife, the breathtaking 18th century chapel attended by Washington and much more. Highlights include Fraunces Tavern and Federal Hall. You'll hear letters, speeches and paintings from the time. Your tour will be led by a knowledgeable licensed NYC guide with 20 years' experience.
