Event description

Description

Want something different to do this Halloween but not sure what that is yet? Tired of watching the same-old scary movies on Netflix? Then this event might be up your alley...

Helena, Texas is a virtual ghost-town dating back to 1852 and has quite the history to it. From gunslingers to public hangings, this town was coined "The Toughest Town on Earth" for a reason. One of the activities of the annual "Indian Summer Heritage Festival" in Helena is a public, paranormal event that is hosted by a paranormal organization each year.

For 2018, this organization is Afterlife Paranormal Society out of San Antonio, Texas. This family-run team of paranormal investigators are going to be leading participants on a three-hour investigation of the main buildings in Helena, that date back to the town’s founding. Unlike what you may see on Groupon for ghost "tours", this is truly a hands-on investigation, just like you've seen on TV, with real equipment and a dedication to uncovering Helena's haunted past.

The buildings to be investigated will include the 1873 Helena Courthouse, 1800's Helena Post Office, Early 1900's Farmhouse, Hanging Tree, Jail Cells, and the Helena Masonic Chapter "Alamita Lodge", that dates from the mid-1800's.

Please bring your own personal paranormal equipment you deem necessary with you (ie: Voice Recorders, EMF Detectors, Cameras, Flashlights, etc). We will have limited paranormal equipment available for loan.

You will rotate in groups of 5 throughout the night and have a different investigator leading your group for each location. At the conclusion of the event, evidence will be quickly analyzed and shared with the group as a whole.

Part of your ticket price goes towards the Karnes County Historical Society, in an effort to help restore the facilities in Helena. By participating in this event, you are making a direct impact on the sustainability and upkeep of this historic town.

Check in starts at 7:00PM.

We will start promptly at 7:30PM.

Event concludes at roughly 10:30PM.

Free bottled water is included in your ticket price.
