Description

The City of West Chicago welcomes you to take part in the annual Costume Contest, Halloween Parade, and Downtown Trick-or-Treat on Saturday, October 28, 2017. This event is free to the public.

Children of all ages are invited to take part in the Costume Contest prior to the Halloween Parade kick-off. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. in the parking lot behind the West Chicago Public Library District building, located at 118 West Washington Street. Costume Contest judging begins at 12:00 p.m. After judging, at approximately 12:15 p.m., the parade procession steps off onto Turner Court and continues along Main Street through Downtown West Chicago.

Awards for the Costume Contest will be handed out at the end of the Halloween Parade in front of the Fox Community Center located at 306 Main Street.

All participants receive a free trick or treat bag and are invited to take part in the Downtown Trick-or-Treat immediately following the Halloween Parade. Children are encouraged to trick-or-treat at participating businesses and organizations from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. in Downtown West Chicago.
