Description

Please note that the price above is for the deposit, which is due now. The full cost of the retreat is 1,100 NOK (adjusted slightly to reflect food costs). The balance is due by 5 July.

This special retreat for members of Oslo Writers' League is to celebrate the launch of Greta Solomon's latest book Heart, Soul & Sass: Write Your Way to a Fully-Expressed Life. Everyone who attends will receive two copies – one for you (and one to gift to a friend).

It will be a very informal, relaxed, practical weekend with talks, workshops, exercises, taking a walk in the mountains, writing, and can include topics such as:

  • writing a query letter
  • pitching
  • implementing good writing habits
  • private coaching sessions
  • individual feedback
  • writing for creative self-expression
  • platforms for publishing
  • breaking writers block

and much more.

The final programme will be shared nearer the time (following a small survey of everyone who's registered). The retreat is open to all writers of all genres, and all levels.

The price includes:

  • Accommodation (some single, some shared rooms – max 2 in a room)
  • All meals from Friday evening dinner to Sunday breakfast, or lunch – we can accommodate allergies, vegetarians, and other dietary needs
  • Snacks, drinks and (some!) alcohol

The cabin is spacious, luxurious and modern, with great views, three bathrooms including a bath and a sauna. All bedlinen and towels will be provided. It’s easily reached by car in two and a half hours (Maddie will have space for four others in addition to her and Greta). Alternatively, it’s 3 hours by bus, practically to the door, but we can pick you up.

We can't wait for you to join us!
