Join us for the final Shifting Gears seminar of 2017, where we will spend the morning hearing from professionals across the industry who have first hand experience of how disruption is already very much underway - and how new technology solutions are actively changing the life insurance industry as we've known it right now.

Montoux, in partnership with Deloitte, are proud to host a lineup of speakers from across the industry, including an opening keynote from prominent industry thought leader Jim Minto. We will explore real examples and case studies of algorithmic underwriting, human centric design, instant claims, data analytics and more, with experts from Australia, the US, and New Zealand sharing their insights.

Speakers

Jim Minto is an experienced Director with a demonstrated history of working at CEO level in the financial services industry over 26 years in Australia, NZ and Asia. FCA and GAICD. Leadership and governance skills span a broad spectrum ranging through commercial, HR, IT, business innovation and general governance.

Laura McKiernan Boylan is product owner of US life insurer Haven Life's algorithmic underwriting program. A Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst, Laura is a Harvard University alum and previously worked as lead manager of advanced actuarial analytics for a multinational insurance company.

Jason Wilby is the co-founder and joint-CEO of Huddle - a car and travel insurer utilising the possibilities of technology to offer Instant Claims in Australia, and giving surplus profits to charities and causes. Jason's expertise spans strategic design, technology, marketing and financial services.

Klaas Stijnen is the founder of life insurance pricing software company Montoux. Klaas is a specialist financial modeller, business actuary, and consultant, with over a decade of experience working with some of the world’s largest insurance brands, including PWC and Deloitte.

Al Merten is a financial services partner at Deloitte Australia. Al's expertise spans brand building and management, analysis, engagement of people and strategic project management.
